Lesley Netter-Snowden has been appointed as executive vice president and chief business officer (EVP/CBO) at Kennesaw State University, effective immediately. The appointment follows a national search.

Netter-Snowden began her tenure at Kennesaw State in 2017 as chief institutional auditor. She has since held multiple leadership positions, including vice president of business services and assistant vice president of campus services. In May 2025, she was named interim EVP/CBO, where she provided strategic direction and operational leadership for the university’s administrative and financial functions. These areas include auxiliary services, human resources, campus operations, and finance.

In her permanent role, Netter-Snowden will continue to oversee these departments. Her responsibilities will also include driving operational efficiency, developing growth strategies, overseeing financial planning, managing facilities, and supporting the university president in strategic analysis and decision-making as part of the Cabinet.

President Kathy S. Schwaig commented on the appointment: “I have had the privilege of working with Dr. Netter-Snowden in her various roles at the University, most recently as our interim executive vice president and chief business officer. During this time, she has consistently and expertly demonstrated exceptional leadership, vision, and dedication to Kennesaw State and our students,” said President Schwaig.  “I am confident that she is the right person to help propel KSU forward, and I am thrilled to officially welcome her to this important role.”

Before joining Kennesaw State University, Netter-Snowden worked for 13 years at EY in assurance services and professional practice teams.

“I am grateful for the trust placed in me and remain committed to responsible stewardship, strengthening operations through collaboration, and driving strategic progress that supports Kennesaw State University’s pursuit of national prominence,” said Netter-Snowden.

Her academic background includes a Doctor of Education in Higher Education Management from the University of Georgia along with a Master of Accountancy and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Auburn University. She is also a certified public accountant.

Netter-Snowden was recognized as a 2022 University System of Georgia Executive Leadership Institute Scholar and is part of the Leadership Georgia Class of 2024.
