Kennesaw State University announced it will shift to modified operations on Saturday due to forecasts of winter weather and a state of emergency declared by Governor Brian Kemp. The decision follows reports from the National Weather Service indicating snowfall is expected to start Friday evening and continue into Saturday, with eastern Georgia likely to see the highest accumulation.

The university cited concerns that cold temperatures may cause snow to stick to roads, increasing the risk of hazardous travel conditions on Saturday. Kennesaw State has directed students, faculty, and staff to review its modified operations policy available through the KSU Policy Portal.

Updates regarding campus status—including any further changes such as delays or closures—will be provided by the Office of Emergency Management (OEM).

“Out of an abundance of caution, Kennesaw State University will move to , based on the latest National Weather Service reports and the State of Emergency that was announced by Gov. Brian Kemp.”
