Kennesaw State University has been recognized as a 2025-2026 Military Spouse Friendly School by Viqtory, an organization focused on linking military communities with civilian opportunities.

The designation is given to institutions that show strong support for military families. This includes having policies that address the specific challenges faced by military spouses, such as frequent moves, career disruptions, and family obligations.

Kennesaw State received this recognition due to its Military and Veteran Services program. The program provides resources tailored to military-connected students and their families, including scholarships and community initiatives.

“We are honored to be recognized as a Military Spouse Friendly School,” said Stacey Dixon, director of KSU’s Military and Veteran Services. “Military spouses are the backbone of our armed forces community, and we are committed to providing them with the tools, flexibility, and support needed to thrive academically and professionally.”

The university offers priority registration, academic accommodations, career workshops, and peer support networks for military-connected students. It also works with local and national organizations to increase opportunities for military spouses.

This recognition aligns with Kennesaw State’s mission to create an inclusive environment for all students. In August, KSU was named one of only two Georgia-based institutions designated as a Military Support College of Distinction. The university also earned a Gold-level Military Friendly designation in 2024.
