Keep Cobb Beautiful schedules hazardous waste collection for October

Keep Cobb Beautiful and the Water System are organizing their annual Household Hazardous Waste Event on October 18, 2025. The event will take place at Jim Miller Park in Marietta from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.

According to organizers, “During this event, we accept common household hazardous waste, such as paint, cleaning products, insecticides, gasoline, fire extinguishers, and much more.” Participants can find a complete list of accepted and non-accepted items by visiting the Household Hazardous Waste Event page.

The event requires advance registration. Organizers state, “This event is by appointment only. Click here to register.”

Cobb County continues to serve a large community. Enrollment at Cobb County schools increased slightly by less than 0.1% in the 2022-23 school year compared to the previous year (https://www.gadoe.org/). The district enrolled a total of 115,076 students during that period (https://www.gadoe.org/), with white students making up about one-third of the student body (https://www.gadoe.org/).
