Keep Cobb Beautiful has announced a series of community events for Fall 2025 focused on recycling and environmental education. The organization will host several pop-up drop-off recycling events, a composting workshop, and a household hazardous waste amnesty day.

The first event is scheduled for September 12 from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the West Cobb Senior Center in Powder Springs. Residents are encouraged to bring recyclables and hard-to-recycle items in orange Hefty ReNew bags as part of the Hefty ReNew program.

A second pop-up drop-off recycling event will take place on October 4 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Kroger on Powers Ferry Road in Marietta. Attendees can bring both regular recyclables and materials suitable for the Hefty ReNew program.

On the same day, October 4, Hyde Farm Park in Marietta will offer a composting workshop from 1 to 4 p.m., open to participants of all ages and experience levels.

Household Hazardous Waste Amnesty Day is set for October 18 at Jim Miller Park in Marietta. Community members can safely dispose of chemicals, paint, batteries, fluorescent lights, and other hazardous materials.

All events are free of charge. Keep Cobb Beautiful encourages those who support these initiatives to consider making a donation through their website.
