Cobb County Government and the Cobb County School District are inviting local business owners and entrepreneurs to participate in the annual “How to do Business with Cobb” seminar. The event is scheduled for Thursday, October 16, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Cobb Civic Center, located at 548 South Marietta Parkway in Marietta.

JoAnn K. Birrell, District 3 Commissioner and founder of Keep it in Cobb, highlighted the significance of the seminar. “This seminar is an excellent opportunity for business owners to learn about the needs of the County and the Schools, network with department representatives, and learn the step-by-step process to become a vendor.” The event has been held each year since 2011 with support from the Cobb County Purchasing team, Cobb County School District, and the Keep it in Cobb committee.

Business owners interested in attending are encouraged to RSVP by emailing Kimberly.Jorgensen@cobbcounty.gov or calling 770-528-3317. Space for the seminar is limited.

Cobb County schools saw enrollment increase by less than 0.1% during the 2022-23 school year compared to the previous year, according to data from the Georgia Department of Education (https://www.gadoe.org/). The district enrolled a total of 115,076 students during that period (https://www.gadoe.org/). White students represented 33% of the student body in Cobb County schools for that academic year (https://www.gadoe.org/).
