Cobb County is offering a variety of fall-themed events for residents in the coming weeks. Activities include creative workshops, family gatherings, and seasonal celebrations at various locations throughout the county.
The Mable House Arts Center will host Glass Blowing Pumpkin Workshops from September 25 to 27, where participants can craft glass pumpkins. On October 1, South Cobb Library will offer a yarn-wrapped pumpkin craft night for adults. Sewell Mill Library & Cultural Center has scheduled a ceramic pumpkin candy dish painting session on October 10.
Gritters Library invites families to decorate pumpkins on October 14, while Switzer Library will hold a STEAM Team Pumpkin Drop Challenge for children ages 8 to 12 the same day. Kemp Memorial Library’s Craft Club will create cutting board fall décor on October 16.
Movie screenings are planned at The Art Place – Mountain View, including “Haunted Mansion” on October 16 and “Rocky Horror Picture Show” on October 18. The R.L. Sutton Water Reclamation Facility in Smyrna will host an after-dark Trick or Treatment Spooky Tour on October 17 and 18.
The Senior Wellness Center’s fifth annual Pumpkin Painting Contest takes place on October 20. North Cobb Library’s Trunk or Treat event is set for October 24, followed by the Fall Festival of Fun at Jim R. Miller Park on October 25.
A haunted house attraction will run at Jim R. Miller Park from October 25 to 31. Animal Services plans a Trunk or Treat event in Marietta on October 27. Costume parades are scheduled at South Cobb Library on October 30 and Powder Springs Library on Halloween morning.
In November, Cobb Water Wildlife & Rain Garden will offer a Habitat Helpers Workshop: Pumpkin Edition for children ages five to twelve, focusing on turning pumpkins into wildlife shelters while learning about nature. South Cobb Library hosts an adult pumpkin centerpiece workshop on November 5.

The total student enrollment was reported as just over one hundred fifteen thousand (https://www.gadoe.org/), with white students comprising thirty-three percent of the student body (https://www.gadoe.org/).
